The South Carolina Industry Liaison Group (SCILG) is an association of employers that are federal contractors located in South Carolina. The employers represent all sectors of the economy including business, industry, and education. The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) partners with SCILG to provide open communication, advisement, and technical assistance in meeting the obligations and requirements set forth in Executive Order 11246.
Mission - To provide leadership, networking, communication, and education to members in establishing and supporting standards of excellence in equal employment opportunity programs and affirmative action compliance.
Goals -
- To provide assistance in the professional development of every member.
- To provide leadership in establishing and supporting standards of excellence in every phase of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action compliance.
- To assist members in valuing and leading a diverse work force.
- To serve as a focal point for the exchange of data and information within an outside membership or organization.
- To foster and strengthen the partnership among the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other government agencies with private industry to enhance cooperative efforts in a proactive way.
History - The South Carolina Industry Liaison Group (SCILG) was formed on February 21, 1995, in support of the initiative by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) to foster a spirit of cooperation between OFCCP and employers that are federal contractors.
SCILG provides a forum to encourage open communication and education to enhance cooperative compliance efforts. Technical assistance is provided by OFCCP through SCILG to federal contractors.
